Based on predicted reliability scores from J.D. Power, the Honda CR-V is a better pick than the Toyota RAV4. VS. The RAV4 received an average predicted reliability rating.

Rear-row passengers in the CR-V will get a little more legroom than backseat occupants of the RAV4. The CR-V features 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and 75.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. VS. While still comfortable, the RAV4 is slightly smaller and offers less room for passengers in the back room. When it comes to cargo space, the RAV4 offers 37.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and 69.8 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down.

The CR-V uses soft-touch materials on most surfaces which gives it a more upscale look and feel. VS. The RAV4 has some hard plastics, rendering it slightly less comfortable.

Most consumers find that the CR-V is more smooth and easier to handle. VS. The RAV4’s ride is more firm than the CR-V’s.
